If you could only own one bike, this would be it. You can get groceries, bike with your kids, go on a fitness ride, explore off road paths and probably do a century in comfort. Because there is no chain and all the bearings are sealed, 4 season riding is a breeze. I actually look forward to riding in the rain... come back home and spray it off with a hose... no oil no maintenance. This bike is not a "fast" bike due to weight, tire width and riding position, but I tend to average 17mph on 30 mile fitness rides. I flipped over stem for more aggressive postion and imagine slicker thinner tires would be a big improvement if I wanted to go fast, but I like the all purpose nature of the stock tires.
