2013 Trek Soho DLX

Turn the bike lane into the fast lane with Trek's Soho DLX. Big-city ready with its lightweight aluminum frame, the top tube even features a bumper to protect it against the street signs and bike racks that you'll be locking your Soho to. And you'll love the ride as the wheels with Bontrager's 700c Nebula rims and reflective tires roll easy, while the Soho's excellent handling makes it a breeze to dodge potholes and errant vehicles. And, this urban speedster rolls with a super-smooth, quiet and lube-free belt drive to keep your business clothing grease-free. Plus, for commuting rain or shine, you've got fenders, a rear rack and 8 speeds for sailing right over the hills. You even get a travel mug for your favorite go juice!

    Comments:

If you could only own one bike, this would be it. You can get groceries, bike with your kids, go on a fitness ride, explore off road paths and probably do a century in comfort. Because there is no chain and all the bearings are sealed, 4 season riding is a breeze. I actually look forward to riding in the rain... come back home and spray it off with a hose... no oil no maintenance. This bike is not a "fast" bike due to weight, tire width and riding position, but I tend to average 17mph on 30 mile fitness rides. I flipped over stem for more aggressive postion and imagine slicker thinner tires would be a big improvement if I wanted to go fast, but I like the all purpose nature of the stock tires.
